Ask the Expert
What does your day-to-day look like?
My day-to-day is focused on building the infrastructure and strategy for Open Sky Group’s new SAP service offering, particularly around Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Labor Management (LM), and Transportation Management (TM). I spend time aligning with SAP stakeholders, developing partner relationships, identifying pipeline opportunities, creating operational processes, and laying the groundwork for go-to-market efforts.
How did you get started in supply chain?
I began in operations management, leading large-scale distribution and inventory programs. Over time, I gravitated toward process improvement, recognizing the profound impact that systems like SAP can have on efficiency and enterprise-wide visibility. That combination of operational execution and strategic enablement has shaped my career path.
How does supply chain impact a company’s broader strategy?
The supply chain connects strategy to execution in a way that drives competitive advantage. Execution is one of the most critical enablers of customer satisfaction and financial performance. It affects everything from working capital and delivery speed to brand perception. A robust supply chain strategy—supported by scalable technology like SAP—can become a true competitive differentiator.
What do you view as the biggest challenge in the current supply chain environment and how can it be solved?
The biggest challenge is balancing resilience with efficiency. Companies are under pressure to deliver quickly and cost-effectively while also managing volatility in demand and disruptions in supply. The way to solve this is through visibility, having the right data in the right hands at the right time, and by investing in flexible solutions that can adapt as business requirements evolve. Equally important is creating redundancy programs, such as qualified secondary suppliers, contingency logistics options, and inventory buffers, so that when disruptions occur, operations can continue without significant impact.
What philosophy do you follow while working with customers?
I believe in meeting clients where they are. That means understanding their goals, culture, and constraints before recommending any solution. I also value transparency—whether it is about project risks, timelines, or trade-offs—and strive to build partnerships based on trust.
Please share your favorite success story.
One of my recent successes is helping Open Sky Group gain approval into SAP’s PartnerEdge Open Ecosystem program and build our EWM/TM capability from the ground up. Within just four months, we established our SAP foundation, created delivery assets, developed a process to track new opportunities, and launched go-to-market plans. We also built strategic partnerships, implemented robust reporting, and began positioning ourselves as credible players in the SAP ecosystem.
What advice would you give to someone looking to enter the supply chain industry?
Be curious and willing to learn every day. The supply chain industry is evolving rapidly, especially with advances in technology and the growing adoption of AI. Build a solid foundation in understanding the entire end-to-end process, not just your own area, and develop comfort with data and systems. The most successful professionals see how every link in the chain affects the others and stay open to new tools that drive continuous improvement. The combination of practical experience, technical knowledge, and adaptability is extremely valuable.
What is a fun fact about yourself that your clients may not know?
I raced motocross competitively at an early age, which required rigorous preparation both physically and mentally, along with maintaining high-performance machines to compete at the top level. That experience taught me the importance of discipline, attention to detail, and always looking for ways to create an edge over the competition—skills that translate directly to managing complex supply chain programs and driving continuous improvement.
What are you most excited about in your current role?
I am excited to see our SAP practice grow into a recognized market offering and help our clients achieve operational excellence. The opportunity to shape a new service line and bring in innovative solutions like our Kaleidoscope platform is incredibly rewarding.
